Children and Young People at St Anselm's
Young Voices is our children's choir, open to all children from Kennington and beyond, aged 8-13. Find out more here.
We have four groups for children and young people at our 10am Sunday services. Following the pattern of the church’s readings, we aim to use play, song and laughter to help each young person find a faith in God that is entirely their own, and to grow up in the knowledge and love of Jesus.
Diddy Disciples (Crèche)
Diddy Disciples provides a warm, friendly environment where parents and their young children can relax and play whilst feeling part of the main service. Our crèche area is separated from the main church by soundproof glass, so we can make as much noise as we like singing, playing, colouring and creating whilst still remaining part of it all.
Bunnies (Ages 5-7)
The Bunnies group is for children in school years 1-2. We meet in the Pelican Nursery next door, and combine play with craft and activities to learn more about God’s love for us.
Rabbits (Ages 7-11)
The Rabbits group is for children in school years 3-6. The Bunnies group meets in the Pelican Nursery, and is a space for children to use colouring, sticking, cooking and playing to deepen their faith.
Hares (Ages 11-14)
This group explores what faith looks like for those at Secondary School. We get stuck into a Bible passage over a cup of tea, and discuss what relevance it has for teenagers living in London.
Church Mice (parents/carers and toddlers)
Every Thursday morning, 10am - 12pm. A group for toddlers and new parents with space for parents to relax and the little ones to play. There are a host of activities and hot drinks are provided for grown-ups, and fruit and toys for toddlers.
Radio Youth Club (Age 13-18)
At the Radio Youth Club teenagers meet to chat, eat pizza, and create radio broadcasts and podcasts together, with the expert guidance of Willz Ackon from Radio King Academy (a Change-Up partner). This is a space for local young people to explore their faith, life, culture and music through the art of radio production. So if you’re in years 7-11 then come along and learn something new!
Every Thursday in term time at 6:30, at St Anselm’s Church
