About Us
St Anselm’s Church, North Lambeth Parish
St Anselm’s church is a part of North Lambeth Parish, which is situated in the Church of England Diocese of Southwark.
At St Anselm’s we believe that God’s love, as shown in the life of Jesus Christ, is for everyone. We meet every Sunday to give thanks for this love and to encourage each other. Everyone is welcome at St Anselm’s regardless of faith, age, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression, race, disability or sexuality.
We also believe God’s love calls us to be practical. We work to serve those around us, breaking down barriers and supporting those most in need. We are ambitious to see positive change in our community. Together with our church primary school, we seek to enable the children of Kennington to fulfil their potential and we work with a charity, Change Up, that offers mentoring and opportunities to those who are socially excluded.
St Peter’s Church, Vauxhall
St Peter’s Church is also part of North Lambeth Parish and is situated closer to Vauxhall.
St Peter’s story starts in 1864 when the church was planted into the Vauxhall community with three main purposes: to share the hope of the Gospel, to face the crucial local social issues of its time, and to be built as a place of prayer.
Building on those original values, in September 2019, a team from Holy Trinity Clapham, led by Michael & Emma John, grafted into St Peter’s.
St Mary’s Eco Church
St Mary’s Eco Church is a new church community created by Lambeth Palace and Southwark Diocese in response to the climate emergency and related biodiversity crisis.
